Disc Golf Information  ^
While Disc Golf is a completely different sport than Ultimate Frisbee, we at EPUFA tend to enjoy any type of disc related sport, and being that there are no disc golf resources in Erie, we decided to get on it.

Glen's approach in Shenly Park, Pittsburgh, PA. Spring 2001.

Disc Golf has been around for about the past 30 years. It is played by traversing a course in the fewest number of throws. The object is similar to standard golf. The player throws the disc , usually a "driver" toward the goal (typically a metal chained basket). The number of throws it take to put the disc into the basket is recorded. A typical course has 9 or 18 holes. There are hundreds of disc golf courses world wide. The closest courses in PA appear to be in Pittsburgh. But disc golf can be played without a course or specialized discs. Improvise a course using what ever is handy - "the tree in the distance for par 3", etc. For the ultimate player it's a great game to improve your throwing skills.

EPUFA is hoping to install a disc golf course in the Erie area in the near future (Summer 2002). This course will be paid for in full through donations and sponsorship. If you have an interest in helping with this project, please contact us.
