MORLEY FAMILY ANCESTRY

THE MORLEY NEXUS

The ancestral origins of the MORLEY family of Lynn, Massachusetts has been a favorite hobby of mine since I was 16 years old. The Morleys of Lynn trace their origins to George Morley (b.1682) of Trinity, Newfoundland. From there they first migrated to Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. In 1832, They ventured into New England. The principle places of settlement for the family are in Nova Scotia and Massachusetts, although descendants can be found across Canada and the United States.

There are so many stories I've learned in my 16 years of research into our ancestry. Our heritage extends deeply into colonial New England, Atlantic Canada, England, Scotland and Ireland. I am in contact with cousins across the U.S. & Canada. I now have a lot of information on our family. My own surname line is as follows George Morley (1682) & Joan / George Morley (1714) & Anne Cleary / George Morley (1760) & Mary Kendrick / William Thomas Morley (1798) & Catherine Harold / John Harold Morley (1825) & Caroline Deering Lane / Alonzo Taft Morley (1852) & Elmira Jane Galeucia / John Edward Morley (1877) & Lenora Edna Russell / James Edward Morley (1924) & Dorothy Rae Parks / Jason Christopher Morley (1966).
