Fiala Jewelry Design was founded by Irena Fiala-Zednicek and Renata Zednicek, a mother and daughter team. They are natives of the Czech Republic who have lived and worked in the United States for over thirty years. Renata began making bracelets in 1998 for her personal adornment. Interest in her work began to spread, and once the demand for Renata's bracelets reached high capacity, she embarked on a collaborative venture with Irena and founded Fiala, Inc. Today, Irena and Renata work with the help of designers Robyn Bellospirito and Douglas Craig at their studio on Long Island's north shore. All Fiala design pieces are assembled by hand using beads from the Czech Republic and from around the world. The tradition of Czech or "Bohemian" crystal is a centuries-old art with a world renowned reputation for producing quality jewelry, tableware and hand-crafted art objects. The range of materials used in the jewelry has expanded to include a variety of natural and semi-precious stones, as well as handmade beads from around the world. New items such as one-of-a-kind necklaces and beaded napkin rings have been added to the growing line, and exclusive designs have been produced at the request of clients. Fiala jewelry is sold to retailers in the United States and Europe, through trade show events, and directly to the public. The bracelets have appeared as wardrobe accessories on the popular daytime series "All My Children". Irena is also a fine artist working primarily in oil on canvas. | The choker necklaces shown here are made on memory wire, like our bracelets. We have other necklaces available which are exclusively made and designed by Renata, in which she uses semi-precious stones strung on nylon coated flexible steel cord. They are unique, one-of-a-kind designs. |
