Vince Farsetta is a two time National Old Time Banjo Champion, and a songwriter with songs recorded by Leftover Salmon, Toni Price, and Dave Grant featuring Dave Mathew's on vocal.
Vince is also a vocalist, and a multi-instrumentalist who has been performing solo and with various bands exploring a variety of music genre's from old time, to caribbean, to pop rock, playing banjo, guitar, mandolin, and dulcimer.
Dave Mathews did a stellar lead vocal for Farsetta's song Mama Boulet for an indie release that has been compiled from tracks produced by Dave Grant from Charlotsville, VA. Dave Grant had been recording various artists for years but was tragically taken from us in May of 2002. His wife Darlene Crawford and friends have finished the project that also includes Tim O'Brian, Peter Rowan, Vince Herman from Leftover Salmon, Vince Farsetta, and various other artists.

Leftover Salmon have recorded 3 Farsetta originals; "The Jokester" on their album "Ask The Fish," and "Mama Boulet" and "Better" on "Eurphoria", their major label preview on Hollywood Records. "Better" was one of two singles released from the album.

Mama Boutet was recently recorded by Muzak so if your riding in an elevator, or sitting in a dentist office one of these days you just might hear their version.

Toni Price recorded Vince's song "Beautiful Garden" for her 2003 release Born To Be Blue on Antone's Records. Toni said "it's the most beautiful song I ever heard".

Farsetta has released two CD's on his indie label Zed Records. Evermore is an instrumental Clawhammer banjo CD with accompaniment which the Stanford Daily says "glows with the luminosity of a forge", and, Skat, is a collection of original Reggae, Calypso, and Ska songs which Dirty Linen magazine called "hook filled and downright catchy". With Jim Horn on saxaphones, Bob Britt on guitar, and other Nashville session players and friends.
