Ever More is an instrumental Old-Time Banjo
CD which features 18 cuts including 12 traditional and 6
original tunes. Vince plays banjo, guitar, mandolin, dulcimer and
fiddle. Dave Grant from the Freewill Savages plays bass on 11
tunes and Dave Kennedy plays drums on two tunes. The Old Time tunes
are: The Cucoo, Hop-High Ladies, Johnson Boys, June Apple, Ebenezer,
Hog-Eyed Man, Mason's Apron, Kitchen Gal, Abe's Retreat, Rickett's Hornpipe,
and Cluck Old-Hen.
Special thanks go out to Drew Ponder who got this recording project together. As a compatriot
down in Nashville, he talked Rodger Martin to do the recording in his home studio and Mike
Dunbar to help produce all on spec. Drew used to work for CBS Records and has been involved in
many aspects of the music business for over 30 years. Due to his diligence in Vince's behalf
Evermore was recorded. Rodger Martin has since passed away and this project is dedicated to him.

Skat is the second release which is Farsetta's original
Reggae, Calypso and Ska songs including
Mama Boulet and Better which are two of the three Farsetta
originals Leftover Salmon has recorded. The CD consists of recordings
made in Nashville from 1989 till 1996. It has Jim Horn on saxaphones
and horn arrangements. Jim is one of Pop music's endearing players who has
played with everyone from The Stones to The Travelling Willbury's.
Bob Britt plays lead guitar on several cuts. He was recently on
Bob Dylan's new album and he played for Leon Russell for 10
years. The other players were members of Vince's band The Flying Flamingo
who are all seasoned session players and performers.

Vince Farsetta is adept at writing his own tunes as well as playing
the more traditional favorites. His disc is one of those often-searched for, seldom-found jewels of old time music. His version ot The Cucoo
is melodic, rhythmic and dynamic- something few players achieve...It is interesting to hear
someone explore the interplay between modern percussion and old time banjo..."See To It" has a
cool hooked sound..."Abes Retreat" is upbeat, chucked-up and outrageous!...Not a
bad tune in the bunch

"Evermore" explores the best of the old-time traditon...Farsetta breathes
more life into these pieces than I can possibly express in words...Vince
has written six tunes that easily stand up to the best of the old-time sounds
... He is a fantastic picker. Evermore is truly a wonderful disc. I can not
recommend it highly enough to anyone who is even the least bit interested in
old-time American Music."

"" feels like a hoe-down and a lullaby together
... The technical precision of Farsetta's blistering picking is awsome...
his lightening fast-runs contain a subtlety that demonstrates his
complete understanding of his instrument... The absolute brilliance of
Farsetta's musicality makes Evermore an absorbing listening experience...
This album feels like a slug of corn whiskey drunk on the porch of a
wood cabin, with a light rain falling on the valley, the mountains shrouded
in fog and the smell of roasting trout and baked potatoes coming from the
kitchen"

"It is one of the best of it's kind that I have heard and
I cannot overstate Farsetta's abilities and talents...
The playing is a veritable fireworks...his arrangements are inventive
and wickedly fun... The original Buryin'The Rye is a stroke of genius"

"Farsetta's creative songs are a delightful cross between early ska-and calypso influences
and David Lindley's "El Rayo-X" reggae-rock album...Hook filled and downright catcy...
Farsetta's lyrics make for a perfect taste of pop...The production is flawless...

There's no reason at all to expect that a clawhammer banjo player could turn out a decent ska album.
There's not reason to expect that a clawhammer banjo player would want to. But if one were to
do it, it would be Vince Farsetta...The songs are great..."Knock Me Out" opens the program
with a sweet blast of lover's ska in the 2-Tone traditon..."Cut Her to the Bone" is a pitch-
perfect enviro-reggae... Highly recomended
