Restricted and Unbalanced Diets
Excerpt from The Body Fat Guide, by Ron Brown:
"Quick fix diet plans may encourage you to ignore calories while you follow some unbalanced diet or while you temporarily restrict yourself to certain foods. You will never receive more than temporary results this way. Some of these plans have value when used for other purposes. Unfortunately, many of these plans are misused as gimmicks to trick you into temporarily getting by on fewer calories. When considering such a plan for permanent weight control, stop and ask yourself, 'Is this really teaching me to eat properly?"
