OUTSIDE VIEWS 1
TAVERN DECK AREA AND FRONT OF BUILDING
NOTE: in order to make the pictures load faster I had to reduce the quality so please excuse the grainy or blurriness.... thank you!
LOOKING SOUTH
HERE are photos of the deck area of the tavern end of building.  The large southern window of tavern, the deck, the steps to deck, below the deck, the willow tree. the view to the west of the deck... east of deck, north and south of deck.
outside steps
This is the western view from deck.... BEHIND bldg on troll hill rd
row of bushes to one day conceal the UNDER DECK area where oil tank for tavern is located.
This is the NORTHERLY view from deck of front property area and you can see down the walk to the parking lot.
HERE IS A VIEW of the bldg from the route 7 side.... remember though that as it is up on the hill, really from the road you only see 2nd and 3rd levels...
to the left is the tavern end and deck.... then you can see the windows for room 12 on lower level and door to walkway for rooms 9/10/11/12  NOTE::::  the white wall covering the sidewalk and door areas along this side of building are put up ONLY for the winter each year... usually it is open sidewalk like the other side of the building.

(((( THE REASON this temp. wall is installed is when it snows or ices badly, the roof snow will fall from both roofs above and gets on the sidewalk and in bad weather is impossible to keep from getting icy etc... so this wall keeps the sidewalk clear for the winter as well as a second barrier and probably keeps those lower level rooms warmer.  SEE photo below regarding how it also creates a SHED for storage of mower or outdoor furniture in the winter!)))))

Looking at the windows on the top floor starting on the left you have room 6, then 7, then 8.  Looking at the windows on the middle floor you have manager apt living room, then room 5 then room 4, then maids closet then room 3, 2 and 1 at the right hand side.  Along the bottom level you can see starting at the RIGHT hand side the opening to the sidewalk where rooms 14 & 15 are, then the next opening is to the oil burner room, then that last opening is 9-12.  Past that are the windows for 12 and above it the windows for the owners apt bedroom.  Beyond that is the tavern part of the bldg.
The rooms in the center part of the building all have new sliding windows, including the rooms on first level you cannot see the windows as the temp winter wall is blocking the sidewalk view... yes, the rooms below are a bit darker for a few months in winter but well worth having a clear sidewalk and warmer!
Somehow I lost the right shape of this picture when resizing so know that the windows are not shaped funny like that!!!   BUT what I am trying to show is the nice row of bushes on the left along the front... these bushes will grow to 20 feet and will someday offer a nice buffer should the road ever get high traffic..... this will still allow a view out of 2nd & 3rd story windows.... it also will offer wind cover... they have grown about a foot each year.
HERE I am showing you what it looks like behind the temp wall this would be window for room 9.... this created a shed like area for the BBQ and whatever else you need to store for winter.  as you can see it is easily put up and down with 2x4's... all peices are marked and numbered so it goes up and down very quick.  the peice laying down is the door which we did not install yet.... we just put the wall up end of NOV is usually good then we take it down in spring.  We thought if we stayed here we would PERMANENTLY enclose the front and back walkways professionally... with windows and doors to save the sidewalk shoveling and also would be warmer and also less dragging of mud or wet into the hotel rooms.

REMEMBER we use these rooms for ourselves, family and long term stays, we would not have the wall up if it were motel guest rooms!
Here you can see the neighbors house across the side street... single man.
