Salvador Felipe Jacinto Dali i Domenech
May 11, 1904 - January 23, 1989
Born in Figueres, Spain, in the foothills of the Pyrenees, only sixteen miles from the French border in the principality of Catalonia. Attended the San Fernando Academy of Fine Arts in Madrid. His first one-man show, held in Barcelona in 1925. In 1929, Joan Miro introduced Salvador Dali to the Surrealists and created an international phenomenon. |
