Lanterman's Mill.
Located in Youngstown Ohio,
Mill Creek Park is one of the largest and most natural urban parks in the country.
The park sits on 2530 acres, and contains over 36 miles of paved roads and
pathways. The park features wildlife refuge areas,
several lakes for boating and fishing, and numerous sports facilities.
One of our area's sporting highlights is The 10 Km peace race, which winds thru Mill Creek Park each October.

YSU Football
We love our nearby sports teams like the Cleveland
Indians
and Cavaliers, and the Pittsburgh Pirates
and Penguins, but Northeastern
Ohio is well known for its ravenous football fans. It's only an hour drive from Youngstown to see the Superbowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers or the
Cleveland Browns. Eastwood Field, our new state of the art
baseball stadium in Niles, is home to the
Mahoning Valley Scrappers minor league baseball team.
The brand new Chevrolet Center in Downtown Youngstown is home to the Youngstown Steelhound Hockey Team.
For memorabilia it's always fun to take the hour drive to Canton to visit
the Pro Football
Hall of Fame. Closer to home we have our YSU
Penguins,
along with great high school teams.

The Butler Institute.
Our area is rich in history, arts, and culture. The Butler Institute of American Art is one of the nation's most renowned museums of American
art. The Arms Museum and the Historical Center of Industry and Labor are both located in Youngstown.
The eighty member Youngstown Symphony Orchestra performs at Powers Auditorium, and the new Chevrolet Center in Downtown Youngstown provides a wide variety of world-class entertainment.
We are also fortunate to have great educational
institutions here in the Mahoning Valley. Along with many high schools and technical centers such as the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center,
the valley is home to Youngstown State University.
Kent State University maintains a branch campus here, and many other prestigious colleges and universities are within an
easy driving distance from the Youngstown area.

Fireworks over Downtown Youngstown.
Our airport is home to the 910th Airlift Wing which operates one of the
largest Air Force Reserve bases in the country. We have
the longest runway in the state, and can accommodate any type of aircraft under
all weather conditions. Both aircraft mechanical, and pilot training schools have announced that they will be moving into the airport to provide classes. There are wide areas of open space near the Airport that can be developed, and new air service by Allegiant Air Service, has just been announced.
Many
companies have opened distribution centers here due to our centralized
location and easy interstate highway access. Although our area is well known
for its long history in
steel production and heavy industry, with our 27 industrial parks and a state of the art
business incubator which provides free rent and high speed Internet access, we now have a
wide diversity of companies working in everything from electronics to
plastics. Even as our business community grows and diversifies, our area is consistently ranked as one of the most
affordable areas in the country to live.
