WELCOME TO THE AUSTIN PHYSICAL THERAPY CLINIC
HOME OF BODYBALANCETM and RAPIDWORKRETURNTM
The Austin Physical Therapy Clinic specializes in the treatment of injuries resulting from disease, dysfunction, and traumatic injury. Our specialty is a one-on-one hands on approach, utilizing only licensed physical therapists in the treatment of our patients. Our RAPIDWORKRETURNTM and BODYBALANCETM programs reflect this unique, patient-centered philosophy which we have made central to our practice.
WHERE ARE WE?
Our offices are located in the Van Meldert Building which was built in 1983. Created by Texas architect Duke Garwood, A.I.A., the building's design evokes a strong, memorable sense of "Place" such as that derived from quaint old houses of a century ago. To this end, the structure incorporates traditional and modern elements in a unique composition to create a new, vibrant and meaningful architecture. The patient with particular needs for rehabilitation will find this facility's interior design an enhancement to the healing process by creating an atmosphere of comfort and stability. This unique balance enables the building to grow and mature gracefully with time.

At the Austin Physical Therapy Clinic, we specialize in the prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and conditions. These disorders and conditions may be the result of disease, traumatic injury, work accident, or their cause may be unknown. We also have a special interest in dance medicine. Prevention:
First and foremost, however, it is our goal to prevent musculoskeletal disorders from occurring. Via thorough evaluation of the body's joints, soft tissues, and overall movement, as well as through analysis of a subject's daily activities and demands, we can arrive at effective means of preventing so many of today's common ailments such as headaches, back pain, etc. We invite you to contact us today to discuss how prevention may help you to maintain optimum performance in your daily life.
Treatment:
The Austin Physical Therapy Clinic has been helping patients to resolve their injuries and orthopedic dysfunctions for over 30 years. Our method of treatment is comprehensive. We utilize all applicable physical therapy treatment modalities, manual techniques, and other procedures in order to completely and permanently resolve the source of the patient's complaints. This philosophy of care extends to all injuries occurring either at home, on the job, at play, or elsewhere.
Non work-related injuries (Non workers compensation):
The Austin Physical Therapy clinic provides complete physical therapy care for injuries sustained from any cause, such as automobile accidents, slip-falls, etc.
Work-related injuries (Workers compensation):
We also provide physical therapy care for work injuries. Our treatment approach to work injuries is so unique, it was trademarked and is known as RAPIDWORKRETURNTM. We bill all workers compensation carriers, and keep in constant communication with referring physicians to insure that your care is the best that it can be.
We alleviate the source rather than the symptoms:
The pain arising from an injury always has a source. Many times this source is not immediately discernable to the patient, who is in pain. Our specialty is not simply to treat the symptoms arising from injury - we find the source and alleviate it. This is the only way to provide total and permanent freedom from the symptoms of injury. An example of this philosophy is seen in our trademarked BODYBALANCETM program, which takes into account each patient's individual biomechanical demands, joint dysfunctions, and muscular imbalances to arrive at a comprehensive means of resolving each patient's symptoms and restoring their function.
