OTHER THINGS FROM THE
SHOW
-
Comedian and impressionist Phil
Cornwell made his fifth Soccer AM appearance today, revealing that his
co-thespian Steeve Coogan isn't a football fan: 'it's terrible when people
are like that.. you don't know what to say to them.' As for rumours
about his team Spurs ground sharing with Arsenal, he said: 'I don't
want to contemplate that. I'm a traditionalist and wouldn't want it.
It's not that I've got anything against Arsenal, just that they're
a South London team and should have their ground there.'
-
Sean Dyche (he of runny
bottom fame) is now at the Glory Hornet boys, and left Millwall because:
'They didn't offer me any terms, and it was a shame to leave under
those circumstances but I'm more than happy at Watford.'
-
Millwall striker Neil Harris
was also on the Orange Sofa, suspended, but admitted that if he'd timed his
suspension better, he could have had Christmas off. As for his team,
he said: 'Unless we pick up in this half of the season, we'll end up
10-15th,' and he couldn't quite remember who Sean Dyche was. He was
also asked about his much-publicised battle with cancer, to which
he said: 'I feel back to full strength now. It was take one
day at a time, but it's all behind me and at the back of my mind.'
-
Remember to catch the Christmas
Day show, on at 9am and 4pm, featuring Gus Poyet, Sean Davies,
Helen eating fire, and Sasa Curcic and Chris Kamara in apparently classic
Soccer AM moments.
