Fort Osage Fire Protection District
PROTECTING LIFE AND PROPERTY FROM 4 LOCATIONS
HUMAN RESOURCES
Without hesitation, it is felt by the Board of Directors and Staff of the District that our most valuable asset is our people.
Without the hard work and dedication from our employees, we would not be the progressive service that we see ourselves as today.
Our paid resources are structured as follows:
Chief of Department |
Deputy Chief - Fire Deputy Chief - EMS |
|
Division Chief - Training Division Chief - Inspection |
| (A Shift) | (B Shift) | (C Shift) |
| Assistant Chief | Assistant Chief | Assistant Chief |
Captain (2) FF/EMT-P (2) |
Captain (2) FF/EMT-P (2) |
Captain (2) FF/EMT-P (2) |
The paid employees of the District are supplied with a wide range of benefits. While some of these benefits are required by law, most are supplied through the Boards dedication to the employees.
Benefits are outlined as follows:
| Competitive Pay |
| Bereavement Leave |
| Family Health Insurance |
| Dental Coverage (employee payroll deduct) |
| Loss of Time Disability Coverage (staff employees) |
| Retirement System (13% of gross wage paid by employer) |
| Workers Compensation Insurance |
| Employee Assistance Program |
| Holidays |
| Sick Leave |
| Vacation |
| Leave of Absence |
| Shift Trades (Unlimited) |
| Deferred Compensation Plan(payroll deduct) |
| Uniform Allowance |
Our Reserve and Volunteer employees are just as valuable to the Board and Staff of the District. We have a group of highly motivated and dedicated people who give time back to their community in addition to maintaining other full time and family commitments.
These individuals train and operate just as a paid employee does within our organization. Many of these people serve on special committees for the District and do station stand-bys which supplement the responses to fire and emergency scenes.
When in stations and on emergency scenes, the paid-on-call and volunteer employees fall into the structure of the District under the Captain as either a FF/EMT-P or FF/EMT just as paid employees do.
