Membership Information
Membership:
The F.O.P. Range Inc. is a range open to the public through purchase of membership. The requirements for membership include having a valid driver's license, having a pistol permit or be able to get a pistol permit (no criminal history). Everyone joining the range has filled out a membership agreement, agreeing to abide by safety rules while on the range. The range currently has over 420 members and we are growing every week. We expect to cut off membership when it reaches 500 members to control crowding. When that happens, someone would have to fail to renew to create any room for another new member. Renewal rate is currently about 90%. At this rate, it won't take long to fill up.
Each membership is a family membership. Every member may bring their spouse, and children (up to 25 years of age), at no charge. Members may bring guests for a low daily fee that currently is only $7.00. Your paid membership will allow you full use of everything we have to offer at the range: Every range on our facility, Use of our video library, with over 40 shooting tapes covering a broad range of shooting and gun related subjects. Use of our chronographs to see what your ammo is doing. Use of our shot timers to see how you are doing so you can chart your performance. Use of just about anything else you need to have a good day at the range; staplers, target stands, eye and hearing protection, etc. Members will also get reduced rates on training classes and matches. We sell targets, ammunition, and other shooting supplies. Soft drinks, snacks, and a clean restroom are available, and we have emergency medical services minutes away .
Rates:
Membership is available to those who qualify (can legally possess a firearm in the State of Alabama).
A full Family Membership is $200 per year with a $75 initiation fee for a total of $275 the first year and $200 every year after that. You may bring your Spouse and children (up to 25 years old) with no range fees. You may bring anyone else with you for all day for only $7 per guest per day.
A Single Membership Plan is only $100 per year with a one time $75 initiation fee for a total of $175 the first year and $100 every year after that. There is a $5 per use range fee for every time you use the range. You may bring anyone with you as your guest for $7 per guest per day.
Membership dues are billed on the anniversary of the date you joined.
Special rate for full time law enforcement. $25 first year initiation fee and $150 per year dues for a total of $175 the first year and $150 every year after that for a Full Family Membership. Guests are $7 per guest per day.
A Law Enforcement Single Membership is only $100 per year with a first year initiation fee of $25 for a total of $125 the first year and $100 every year after that. There is no range fee for your use of the range. Guests are $7 per guest per day.

Hours of Operation:
The range is open from 10:00 am til dark Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, 12:00 noon til 5:00 pm Sunday. We are closed to our members on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These two days are reserved for Law Enforcement Agencies to use the range for their training and qualification. The range is available to local, state, and federal agencies who do not have their own ranges and have requested the use of our facility.
