Steel Plate Range

The Steel Plate Range in located beside the Primary Range and also faces in a northwest direction.  It is 25 yards long and 25 yards wide.  It has a cover over the uprange area to provide year round shooting in all weather.  On this range we have permanantly mounted several steel plates made out of "T-1" abrasion resistant steel (tough stuff).  The plates are mounted in a position that leans them 15 degrees forward at the top, creating a solid target that deflects all rounds that strike it to the ground at the base.  The plates make a loud gong noise when hit.  When you need a new target, just paint the plate again.

The plate range is a great place to practice all your handgun shooting, work on your "practical" accuracy, and defensive shooting tactics.  It is also a great place to introduce new shooters to handguns.  The plates are large and reward the new shooter with immediate feedback as to whether or not they hit the target by making a loud noise and a large dark spot where the round hit the target.
