One of the greatest tragedies of our time is the sad fact that only a few of Sophie's films have been released in the United States, even on video. I encourage anyone in the business to take on the challenge of importing ALL of Sophie's movies to the United States. I, for one, would not require them to dubbed or subtitled. In fact, it would be a crime to dub some silly American voice over Mesmerizing Ms. Marceau's beautiful voice.
Well that's all I really wanted to say. I do not want to duplicate what others have done, so I'll be brief. Here are some Sophie pictures that I scanned myself:
Another 'must see' Sophie site is this one by JAX. He has an excellent filmography, tons of links and a huge pile of pictures.
Joe has a cool Sophie site with lots of cool Sophie pix. You should check this one out too. (please notice the new URL)
If that's not enough, you can check for other things on the web about Sophie by going to the 'Yahoo' directory of Sophie pages.
Although no production company has yet had the wisdom to release Sophie's non-English language movies in the United States, with help from people like the wise Mel Gibson she is getting more English speaking roles. Here is the website for her film Anna Karenina. They have some small still pictures and a some mildly interesting details about the film. I know this film was a while ago, but the media doesn't seem to recognize her films that aren't at least partially produced in the United States, so in America all films since this one are being ignored.
Sophie's Internet Movie Database (IMDb) entry is the best place to go for a complete, always updated list of her Movies.
