Stage One: When Life Was Simple

The scene is Bob's clean garage, late December, 1996. Bob is bored. All he does is work all day, come home at night and drag his butt into bed. Just so he can wake up tomorrow and do the same thing all over again. Bob needs to get a life...

Hey! What's this? Norm is building a ten foot dinghy on the New Yankee Workshop! And look at all the cool power tools. I wish I had that workshop. And those tools. Wonder what his wife looks like...

So, if it takes Norm two weekends to build a 10' dinghy, how long do you suppose it would take me to build a 20' sloop?

 	Experience with furniture only	= multiply by 2
 	Limited sailing know-how	= add 3 hours*
 	Lack of cool power tools	= multiply by 1.5
 	Lack of working space = multiply by 1.5
 	Scale of project = multiply by 2
 	Full-time job			= multiply by 2
 	Wife				= multiply by 4
 	Yard = add 1 hr every 3 mos.

Well, by my calculations, I should be launching this puppy right about tax time...
