Hey! What's this? Norm is building a ten foot dinghy on the New Yankee Workshop! And look at all the cool power tools. I wish I had that workshop. And those tools. Wonder what his wife looks like... So, if it takes Norm two weekends to build a 10' dinghy, how long do you suppose it would take me to build a 20' sloop? Experience with furniture only = multiply by 2 Limited sailing know-how = add 3 hours* Lack of cool power tools = multiply by 1.5 Lack of working space = multiply by 1.5 Scale of project = multiply by 2 Full-time job = multiply by 2 Wife = multiply by 4 Yard = add 1 hr every 3 mos. *looking at pictures in Yachting World, surfing the web Well, by my calculations, I should be launching this puppy right about tax time...
