The mission of 4-H is simple -
positive development of young people through active involvement
of youth, adults, and community. Building life skills and
developing self-confidence will help prepare youth to face the
challenges of tomorrow. 4-H provides a safe environment and a
supportive structure where young people can test themselves
mentally, physically, emotionally and socially. The 4-H program
is administered by the University of Tennessee's Agricultural
Extension Service and the Tennessee State University's
Cooperative Extension Program. For more information on
the 4-H Program in Robertson County, call the Extension Office at
615-384-7936 or E-mail
us.
The Robertson County 4-H Alumni Association was established to maintain ties with former 4-H'ers and 4-H Friends who are interested in supporting the 4-H Program, and provide opportunities for them to enhance the 4-H Program in Robertson County. If you would like more information about the Alumni Association or the Tennessee 4-H Alumni Association, please let me know.
In 1994 the Tennessee General Assembly passed legislation that
will match up to $100,000 per district for funds raised as an
endowment. We are getting closer to our goal, but we need your
help. Please ask me for
more information.
