Reminder: You're legally responsible for clearing snow from your sidewalks!

Baltimore County regulations provide that homeowners clear the snow from the sidewalks in front of their house within 24 hours:

§ 18-3-107. REMOVAL OF SNOW AND ICE.
(a) Required. Within 24 hours after the fall of any snow, each person or public institution occupying or using a residential, commercial, or industrial building in any manner or for any purpose shall remove and clear away, or cause to be removed and cleared away, the snow from the foot pavements fronting the respective houses, stores, shops, stables, houses of worship, lots occupied by any buildings, unoccupied buildings, and unoccupied lots that run along streets in the county.

While clearing your driveway remains a personal decision, failing to make effort to clear the sidewalks in front of your property in a timely way could result you in being found responsible if someone walking on the un-cleared sidewalk falls and insures themselves.  In this age of frequent litigation, it may be well worth the effort or expense to clear your sidewalks!

Foxhall Farm Flyer:

The “Foxhall Farm Flyer” was a newsletter published periodically with items of interest to the homeowners in the Foxhall Farm community in Catonsville, Maryland.   New editions have been lacking due the apparent lack of interest by HOA residents and the editor.  Attached below are links to online versions of editions published in 2002 and 2003

     2003 / June Edition
     2002 / December Edition
