Dubbed "fast talker extraordinaire" by the Associated Press, comedienne Fran Capo doesn't mind if you call her super-mouth. In fact, she's proud of it! Fran Capo is in "The Guinness Book of World Records" as the fastest talking female in the world-speaking at a rate of 603.32 words per minute. That's 10 words a second!!!

"There are definite advantages to talking fast", says Fran. "I can save money on my phone bill, order fast food in a snap, plus I have talked my way out of more than one speeding ticket. It's also a great way to win a fight with my husband. When we're in a fight he asks if he was in a fight. I say not only were you in it, it's over, you lost."

Living in New York, you have to talk fast!

Her fast talking, boundless energy, and unusual way of looking at life have earned Fran the distinct reputation as the funniest fast-talking New Yorker. She has appeared worldwide on over 90 television shows including: Good Morning America, Larry King Live, Geraldo, Maurey Povich, Rolanda, The Statler Brothers, EXTRA, and the Rosie O'Donald Show. She has also been a featured guest on over 248 radio shows including Howard Stern and WPLJ - The Big Show.

As a comedienne, Fran has performed at major comedy clubs throughout the United States from Dangerfield's in New York to The Comedy Stop at the Trop in Las Vegas. She also has appeared nationally on the college circuit, plus toured with rap artists the Fat Boys and LL Cool J performing her original rap recording of Rappin Mae.

A rap parody by June East, Mae West's long lost sister.

On the corporate entertainment circuit, Capo is sought after as an "impostor speaker'. She is brought in as a "expert from another branch of the company" and then unleashed on unsuspecting corporate audiences to break up their technical seminars and then shocking them with her fast talking and comedy.

Capo is also a seminar presenter. Her topics include: Humor - How to add Humor to your speaking; Motivation - How to use inner strength to overcome self-defeating behaviors and Publicity - How to get on TV, in radio and in Print Without a Publicist. Her corporate clients include Bank of America, Beneficial Finance, Citibank, Motorola, Conair hair Products and New York Life.

Fran has also achieved national recognition through her commercials. Her fast talking has earned her TV commercials for Nissan, Pitney Bowes, New York Life, Pudgies Chicken, EZ Mop, and USA network. Radio listeners may remember Fran as the weather girl on WBLS or from her commercials for MCI, Bank of America, GE Capital, CNBC TV, Flexon Eyeglasses and 1-800 Flowers.

Her comedic acting abilities have earned her film credits in "Lonely in America" with Spike Lee, "It's a Life", "Return to Providence" - a sci-fi picture, and "SUNDAY" which won the Grand Prize at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival.

Several authors have profiled Fran in show business books including Comic Lives by Betsy Bornes, Tricks of the Trade by Jerry Dunn, and Revolutionary Laughter by Roz Warren. Fran is also featured in
Chicken Soup for the Womans Soul (p82).

Fran is also a freelance writer herself with several humorous articles
on her crazy adventures like "Swimming with the Sharks", "Ultralights - Just say NO", and "Rock Climbing Without Highheels".
She also writes on humor in parenting and weddings. Fran has written three books" How to Get Publicity without a Publicist", "Humor in Business Speaking" and "How to Break into Voiceovers."

One of Fran's most recent projects is Fran's Fast Fractured Fairy Tales, an audio collection of ten classics from The Three little Pigs to Rumplestiltskin. Told intelligibly at the speed of sound. Fran intertwines her character voices, fast talking and comedic ability to get these memorable stories a clever and humorous twist.
