If you get spam with a URL beginning with these domain names:
angelfire.com (sometimes seen as 204.238.155.73 or 3438189349)
xoom.com (sometimes seen as 206.132.163.167 or 3464799143)
theglobe.com
freeyellow.com
tripod.com (sometimes seen as 209.67.19.98)
geocities.com
fortunecity.com
highlight the entire text and click REPLY (not FORWARD, otherwise they won't get the headers, which they need to see!). Put in the subject line the full URL they're trying to get you to go to. Change the TO: line to read abuse@_______.com (insert proper domain name there). Those guys wear a white hat. They'll nuke that URL. Remember to be polite. The worst thing you can do to a spammer using a throw-away page is to help those guys kill it before it can do the spammer any good.
There is also a book out now called "Stopping Spam", which
