I wish to thank all of you for electing me your High Priest for the year 2000. With your help and support, we can make this an outstanding year. We need your support by attending our meetings.
Keep in mind the Saturday classes on January 22nd at Sanford Lodge for the Chapter and Council Degrees and February 5th for the Commandery Degrees. The Commandery Degrees will be at Deland.
I hope you and your family enjoyed a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I look forward to seeing you on my installation this coming January 13th.

Sir Knights of Oriental Commandery No.9 K. T.:
First of all, I wish to thank you for the honor you have given me, in electing me to serve as your Eminent Commander for the year 2000. I promise to do everything in my power to justify your vote of confidence.
Secondly, Sir Knight Edwin B. Moore, III, our Right Eminent Grand Commander, has ordered every Commandery in the State of Florida to hold a fund-raising event in support of the Knight Templar Eye Foundation. We have decided to use our traditional Installation Dinner for this worthy purpose. We will be doing a pot-luck, with those attending being asked for a voluntary contribution to the Eye Foundation. This event will take place on January 13, 2000, at 6:30 pm, with the installation of officers for all three of the York Rite Bodies to take place at 7:30 pm. Please attend and help us to support this worthy cause.
Thirdly, this promises to be a very busy year. We probably won't be able to "come up for air" until February. We are conferring both the Order of the Red Cross, and the Order of the Temple at the Deland Masonic Temple on February 5, the ceremonies to commence at 8:00 am (light breakfast beforehand). This is in obedience to the wishes of the Grand Master of the Grand Encampment, who wishes to see 2,000 new Knights Templar join our Order on that date. Festivals are being held all over the United States in support of his edict. We also have a new line of officers who need to learn their work in the opening. Therefore, I am calling for the following practices: Sunday, January 15, 2000, at 3:00 pm, for tactics and opening meetings. Thursday, January 20,at 7:00 pm, for the Order of the Red Cross. Thursday, February 3, at 7:00 pm, for the Order of the Temple.
ALL MEMBERS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND THESE PRACTICES!!!

Congratulations to the new elected and appointed officers of Oriental Commandery #9, Sir Knight John Ault, as Commander, has a great group of people to work with in year 2000. Sir Knights please keep our sick and distressed in your prayers. Those on the sick list, to my knowledge, include Sir Knights S. Ray Stephey, Charles P. Gay, George E. Brown, Emile Tubell and I am sure others. Also please keep the family of Sir Knight Cecil Pentecost, Eminent Grand Sentinel of the Grand Commandery of Florida, who passed away December 3, 1999, in your prayers.
Since this is my last Trestle Board, I want to thank the officers both elected and appointed who served with me in 1999, You are all a great bunch of guys, and also the Sir Knights from the side lines who have filled in for anyone absent without hesitation, You are really a great bunch of Sir Knights
