AIR CUSHION YACHTS
By spending a very small percentage of the propulsion power to build an air cavity under a boat you can greatly increase the speed with the same given horsepower or reduce the fuel consumption by maintaining a lower speed. This principle has been proven by many applications around the world. Russia, with much of her very large population dependent on water borne transportation has been a world leader in high-speed ferries for several decades. The Central Hydrofoil Design Bureau (CHDB) has developed and built several commercial versions of their Surface Effects Passenger Vessels, which have been in operation for quite some time.
Responding to CHDB located at Nizhni Novgorod, Russia and Titan Marine International, Inc. of Fort Lauderdale the worldwide exclusive marketing company for these Russian built ACY's, FRYCO has designed a series of aluminum motoryachts to take advantage of the Russian technology. All of the designs will be classed by DNV and built to SOLAS requirements so they may be legally chartered worldwide if and when the owner desires.
The first three FRYCO designs for Titan Marine are 32m, 50m and 75m. All are aluminum hulls with yacht interior details. The TITAN Marine, North American office is located in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Tel. 954\917-2370.
COMMERCIAL VESSELS
FRYCO's designs in commercial craft range from inland river towboats/pushboats and barges, of which over 100 are in service on three continents, to offshore oil patch work boats and passenger vessels up to 205ft. (62.5m) also in worldwide operation.
Through this broad range of experience we have developed thousands of standard details that save the builder construction cost and the operator maintenance cost. Feedback from worldwide operations allow us to grasp the client's operating requirements and make valuable suggestions to enhance operations and increase profits.
We design to builder's standards or to class and/or registration as requested by the client.
CUSTOM YACHTS
Ed Fry's experience in custom yachts goes back to the early sixties building steel yachts, many of which are still in service today. His yachts have an excellent reputation for low maintenance and dependability made possible through unique design concepts in the systems. Some of the most often chartered and most successful charter yacht operators credit FRYCO's design and arrangement as an important factor in their successful operation. In custom yacht design FRYCO has collaborated with owners and builders to provide the talent necessary to take advantage of builder's standard details while creating a design that meets or exceeds all of the owner's expectations. Current motoryacht design projects inhouse range from 32 to 100 meters in length, from high speed CODOG propulsion to long range cruising displacement yachts.
FIRE AND POLICE BOATS
Fire and police boats for cities, municipalities, and states are always a challenge due to unique local environment and the always present tight budget restraints. Because of tight operating budgets, these boats are often not maintained to the highest standard, therefore the systems must be simple, reliable, and require minimum maintenance.
Often FRYCO is called on to write operating procedures, train crews and provide spare parts so that when the boats are commissioned the crews not only understand operation and maintenance, but have the parts available to last them through the first season or longer depending upon the client's requirements.
SPECIAL PURPOSE CRAFT
FRYCO has experience designing an endless number of unique craft for weed and trash removal, dredging operation, oil skimmer and trash recovery, transportation of wildlife in Alaska and the list goes on. No matter what your special purpose craft requirement is we have most likely built something similar in past years and may have an on-the-shelf solution to the problem. Boat Designs are to American Bureau of Shipping, DNV, Lloyds and/or USCG.
