Mathias Kohn

Company H, 9th Michigan Cavalry and
Battery L, 1st Michigan Light Artillery,

Mathias enlisted in Company H, 9th Michigan Cavalry at Otisco, Michigan on December 25, 1862 at the age of 20. He was transferred to Battery L, 1st Michigan Light Artillery on May 1, 1863. He was promoted to Corporal on March 3, 1864, then to Sergeant on March 1, 1865. He mustered out of the service at Jackson, Michigan on August 22, 1865.
