Shucks, ::::::::polishing fingertips on smocked blouse::::::::::
I received this award for my newsletter work over the past four years!
If this is your first time to my Garden please go to our Domain Name
Main Page to see what goodies
we carry.
Since March of 1997 my smocking newsletter has been around bringing
you information on What's
New in smocking as well as information on how to smock. Many other
shops have copied this information on their websites as I find bits and pieces
of my writings on the web, without giving me credit but I just wanted you
to know that we were the first to have this information available for you.
Please enjoy and feel free to send in your questions and comments and
I will send you an answer almost immediately. I do want to remind you
though that this information is my own and is copyrighted, please do not
steal my ideas nor writings - be a proper scholar and give credit to your
resources, I try to.
To understand more of what smocking is please look to this page
What is Smocking.
Please don't hesitate to ask me a question about smocking, I'm here
to serve you.
I would like
to invite you to receive a free online subscription to my smocking newsletter.
I have been in the business of selling smocking supplies for 13 years, have
taught the art for around the same length of time and have created a new
venue for smocking women around the world. In the digest format each issue
contains a variety of topics ranging from history, smocking tips, pattern
reviews, intriguing web pages, smocking plate reviews, what's new, smocking
for dolls, silk ribbon embroidery, heirloom sewing and antique clothing
description. There is an alternate weekly issue of the posts from
the daily smocking list. Please note I used to send this out by hand
but my list has become too large to do this so now a Private List group
is handling my mailings, your names are known only to me. To subscribe
please enter your email address in the following box:
We have a new version of our smocking newsletter called the SmockingList
(I also call this my chitter chatter list) where everyone can feel free to
post info about the techniques of smocking. Join the list and have
some fun.
The snail mail published version of the smocking
newsletter with, black and white pictures, graphics, original smocking designs,
clothing patterns and articles (alternating between the issues) is now available
by subscription at $18.00 per year for 12 issues - this fee also includes
the enhanced version with graphics of the free e-mail
newsletter. If you would like to receive a sample copy
please send $2.00, if you decide you like it send in the remaining $16.00
and your subscription will continue.
On-Line Version:
We have two styles of e-mail newsletters available.
One with with graphics ($10.00 per year - included with subscription
of the snail mail version) and the free version without graphics, the information
differs with both versions. Putting together a newsletter about smocking
is very hard without graphics and in order to do so requires a bit more logistics
on my part and I have to charge for my time. You are most welcome to
receive this newsletter free of charge but if at sometime you would like
to be included in on the graphics just let me know and drop a check in the
mail for the $10.00 subscription. To give you a taste of what the new enhanced
version looks like click on the first & second editions of
The Gathering Thread below. These first two issue will be here on the
web with future issues available only to subscribers.
Let me know by e-mail if you would like to
subscribe to either the snail mail version or just the enhanced versions
of the newsletter.
