Antique Horn

Sound of the Horn Publications is a musician-run company committed to expanding the repertory of available music for the French Horn and related instruments. We have music for settings ranging from soloist to Horn Choir, styles fron Classical to Jazz, Rock to World Music. We have unique arrangements coupling the Horn with bagpipes, Chicago blues bands, rock and roll combos and other rarely explored instrumental combinations.

A soulful piece lamenting the victims of the Holocaust. Reminiscent of old Russian melodies, Lamentation includes spoken verse and music for solo horn with piano accompaniment. The piece has been effectively used at tributes and memorial services.

A wonderful opening piece for your program, this Rennaissance-period piece combines the music of Thomas Ford (1607) with a melody reminiscent of hunting horns.

#4-0002                               Fair Phyllis  Price: $9.00 Quantity:  Sub-total: This Rennaissance-period piece designed for a strong quartet, gives each horn a chance to be soloist. The piece has a free-flowing character due to meter changes between 3/4 and cut time, and culminates with a majestic ending.
