Interior
There's not much one can do to the interior in Street Prepared. The two biggest items are changing both front seats to lightweight race seats with a cushioned cover and installing a 4-point or 5-point race harness.
The
new seats, at 13-15 lbs apiece, will save 30 lbs off the total weight of
the car. The harness will help keep you in the seat when you're driving;
one can't control the car if one is trying to hang on for dear life.
If you have air conditioning, then
toss it. That will save 40 lbs and it just drains too much power from a
competition car. Unless you live in Arizona or Texas or similar sunny climate.
Heavy window tinting, as heavy as your state allows, is an enormous help,
too.
