- Iowa Genealogical Society Fall 1998 Conference -- Celtic Connections
- October 1-2, in Marshalltown, Iowa. Topics such as using LDS resources,
making use of the census, and tracing Scots-Irish ancestors will be covered
in the many sessions at this conference. Also don't miss the networking and
exhibits!
- New England Historic Genealogical Society -- Weekend Seminar
- October 9-10, in Houston, Texas. Research techniques, oral histories, and even cattle brands(!) will be among the topics covered in this two-day seminar. A book sale and plenty of networking opportunities will complete the weekend.
