Our Cavaliers
Harmony Cavaliers, located in historic Charleston, South Carolina, was established by Glenn Richmond in 1987. Our first Cavalier, a blenheim was of Kindrum/Salador heritage. Our second Cavalier, a tri-color was of Crisdig descent. Though gone from us now, these two outstanding Cavaliers formed the foundation of our breeding program and we continue to breed from their offspring today.
Our goals are to produce
Cavaliers with outstanding health, type and temperament
Cavaliers that are loving family members
Cavaliers that win in the show ring
Cavaliers that enhance our breeding program
Our Cavaliers are our pets and share our home, however, they do enjoy the excitement of competing and winning in the show ring.

Our Breeding Program
We breed Cavaliers in all four colors (blenheim, tri-color, black and tan, and ruby) and on occasion have puppies available. Our Cavaliers are tested for hereditary heart and eye disease by a board certified veterinary cardiologist and ophthalmologist respectively. Our breeding program is carefully orchestrated as we breed for ourselves rather than to produce puppies for sale.
Harmony Cavaliers are dual registered with the CKCSC, USA and the AKC. We are active members in the CKCSC, USA and the Palmetto Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of which Glenn is a founding member and club Secretary.
We follow the Code of Ethics established by the CKCSC, USA and the Palmetto Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club.

Harmony Puppies
When available Harmony puppies are placed in carefully selected homes at 10 to 12 weeks of age. Because we are concerned with health and safety, we do not ship puppies unattended. We are happy to meet you at the airport if you choose to fly and pick up your new puppy.
Puppy placement includes:
veterinary statement of health
immunization history
spay or neuter contract
feeding and safety instructions
registration certificates for the CKCSC, USA and the AKC
5 generation pedigree
CKCSC, USA membership application

Purchasing Your Cavalier
It may take a while to find your Cavalier so take the time necessary and buy from a reputable breeder. Reputable breeders will educate you about the breed and reputable breeders health test their breeding stock and will proudly share health information with you.
Avoid buying
-from pet shops (they buy from puppy mills)
-from persons who breed Cavaliers just to sell puppies
-from breeders who cannot produce current health certifications
-from brokers who sell puppies imported from foreign countries
-from persons advertising puppies in the newspaper
