This Skull Helmet is made of a 14 gauge mild top, with 16 gauge mild steel components making up the remaining parts of the helmet.
The Mask-Visor of the helmet lifts up to make it easy for the wearer to get a drink. The visor is locked down by dual strap locks secured by snaps. Since
the above pictures were taken, I've switched out the brown leather for light grey leather, which blends in better with the steel. The eye and nose
slots meet the 1 inch or less width requirements for SCA combat. The extensive sculpting on the Mask-Visor and jaw-bone give those parts a great deal of structural stength & toughness.
The bottom lame of the tail is articulated. The tusk-fangs are covered with brass.
The helmet is sized to fit people with heads of about 23 to 24 inch circumference at eyebrow level.
