Does God Approve Of Crossdressing?

"Does God Approve Of Crossdressing?"

by

Lee Frances Heller

Here we go again! The actual act/behavior of crossdressing is not the issue. As we know, our society has established norms by which all things are judged. These norms into several categories, some of which are good/bad, acceptable/unacceptable, etc. By society's standards we are largely unacceptable deviates. This is society's judgement on us. We are judged by our outward appearance. Men in skirts? Ugh! Maybe no one sees us in our closet, so we judge ourselves. The practice of crossdressing becomes to us forbidden fruit. A thing much to be desired, and so we eat of it. When we do, we bring all kinds of condemnation on ourselves in the light of normal/abnormal behavior. We make ourselves miserable! The family circumstances surrounding us may make us enforce the hidden CD life.

Each person must deal with his own situation. You may condemn yourself in the light of your own church membership, or your relationship to God. Yet, we are moral men with families and responsible jobs and positions. In a large number of cases we do an outstanding job in these positions. Does God favorably judge our work, our love for our families, and all the "good" things that we do, and then turn around and condemn us for our crossdressing? Do you see what I'm trying to get to? We operate on a system of human values and concepts, and this is vitally necessary to live in society. Imagine a society without norms and standards! They are necessary --- yet they do cause us much misery in our "secret" life.

". . .For the Lord sees not as man sees: For man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart." (1 Samuel 16:7)

Which of us has gone in our closet with intent and purpose to do a sin against God? We look on our outward appearance, however, we are being what we are. All the time God is looking into our heart, and he sees that what we are going through in anguish. He hears all of our thoughts and knows of our apprehensiveness. "What if my wife or one of the kids come home unexpectedly? Or a neighbor knocks at the door?" No, God does not approve of crossdressing, because this is not the issue. He has no need to approve. He has already made provision for you in Jesus Christ. So you say, "If I turn my life over to Christ, then He's going to take this lollypop from me." No. He will make you a son of His, and afford you all the privileges of son-ship -- Forgiveness of sins. The gift of faith. A solid foundation for your life. Those of us who are Christians can attest to that. Pants or skirts don't make the difference. Our heart's attitude toward God does. "For without faith it is impossible to please God."

Start pleasing God and exercise the faith that he has given you. Don't allow yourself to be brainwashed into thinking that crossdressing is a sin. It's not. The indwelling Holy Spirit has cleared the way for you. Go to God with your prayers. He will hear you. Rest in the arms of Jesus Christ. He who invited us to:

"Come unto Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and are overburdened, and I will cause you to rest." (Matthew 11:28. )
