Dali's Car-Dreamgrinder
Dali's s Car Defunct UK
Peter Murphy's first post-Bauhaus outing, a collaboration with Mick Karn(Japan). It continues some of Bauhaus' more interesting experiments in rhythm with Karn's fluid bass-playing. A one-off project of more than passing pleasures.

Yet another Rozz Williams side-band. More or less the same vein as Shadow Project, but *way* better, probably because the bass player writes the music. :)

Dead Can Dance Defunct UK (literati) Website 2 3 4 5
DCD was centered around the duo of Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard. Brendan currently lives in Ireland, Lisa in New Zealand. Their music began as spooky guitar-oriented rock, not entirely
dissimilar to the Cocteau Twins. In later days, they wandered to a much more organic sound, exploring tribal rhythms, medieval chants, and middle-eastern dances on various albums.

Death Cult Defunct UK
A brief side-trip twixt the Southern Death Cult and the Cult. A slightly fuller sound than that
settled on with the Cult's first album, but essentially the same band. Changed the name on a whim
before a TV appearance, saying, " we're more about life than death". A mostly cosmetic change. The CD compiles the single and EP onto a single disc. See Cult.

Death in June Active UK (Ayse) [1]
Like all World Serpent bands, Death in June is very much an acquired taste. Led by the enigmatic Douglas P., whose own political and religious beliefs seem to fuel endless debate amongst his fans, Death in June spends much of its energy exploring themes of love and oppression, religion and power. Less folksy than recent Current 1993, less noisy than Nurse With Wound, DiJ's sound hovers somewhere between battle marches and campfire songs. Listen for guest appearances by David Tibet and Rose McDowell.
