To help create healthier local communities, the Wyoming Grassroots Project takes a proactive approach to creating social change. We educate about prejudices and work very hard to cultivate a greater appreciation for human diversity in Wyoming. In addition, we watch for trouble spots in our hometowns and figure out positive strategies to help educate the public about the issue.
We hope that our work will help to bring about the day when Wyoming truly welcomes and incorporates all people into our state: people of all ethnicities, beliefs, races, genders, political affiliations, sexual orientations, abilities, incomes, types of family, and ages.

The structure of the Wyoming Grassroots Project is circular: the network consists of groups that are spread throughout the state and share the vision and goals of the statewide organization. The specific issues that are addressed by each group are determined locally.
Centrally, the Wyoming Grassroots Project is moderated currently by two coordinators (Brenda Ilg and Maria Lasaga).
