Mission Statement
Greenwich Catholic School (GCS) is a coeducational day school for greater Greenwich area children in the Pre-Kindergarten through Grade Eight. We are governed under the auspices of the Diocese of Bridgeport and the eight member parishes.
Our mission is to educate students in a caring environment according to the high academic standards and the Roman Catholic tradition. We encourage the development of student's self esteem, moral character, love of learning and sense of social responsibility.
GCS offers an academic program which builds a foundation of basic skills and knowledge. Ongoing curriculum revisions are designed in response to the rapidly changing world our children will inherit. We strive to recognize individual abilities, differences and learning styles. We challenge students as well as faculty to fulfill their potential.
Within the financial and physical capacities of the school, we are committed to making our institution accessible to all who wish to be educated in the Catholic tradition. Our mission draws together students, parents, faculty, administration and the constituent parishes to sustain our purpose; the intellectual, spiritual and social growth of the children who attend Greenwich Catholic School.
