Well I will soon put some information about Sanglas motorcycles on this page.

Sorry to anyone who liked the Panther picture that used to be here, but this is a Sanglas on holiday in Wales.

Sanglases were made in Spain in a Sanglas factory by Sanglas.

They were expertly assembled by Pablo, the mechanic and designed by his donkey. The accountant was a horse. The horse was Portuguese, did not like motorcycles and I do not know its name.

If you are interested in these odd machines, e:mail me

If you are interested in sidecars, I will put in a relevant link soon. I'll do it even if you are not interested.

Boring bit for those that are interested:

Sanglas were an independent motorcycle manufacturer in Spain from about 1939 until 1979, when Yamaha bought the name. The Sanglas name disappeared two years later.

About 200 motorcycles were imported to England in1978-9, mostly 500cc singles: the S2V5 (V5 meaning five gears, cinqu(?) velocidades as opposed to four on the S1)

These are short stroke ohv pushrod singles with some interesting design ideas. If there is any interest, I may list some of them and you can decide whether to blame the donkey or the horse for Sanglas' demise.
