We started 2004 nicely with Tonka finishing her CD title at Tacoma KC's January show with a 2nd place. She also had a placement when she qualified for her first leg (4th in Novice B at Willamette Valley KC). See the puppies' page for some pic's of Tonka and her littermates.

About me and my dogs ... I grew up with dogs and joined 4-H while in grade school, which lead to competing in AKC Obedience (first titled dog earned a CD in 1971), Jr. Showmanship (qualified for Westminster in 1974) and Conformation. Over the years I finished a number of show champions for my mom, Nancy Pfander REGENCY SPRINGERS. The latest was Jake (Ch. Regency's Two Thumbs Up) who was the first half-English champion at Regency, the 20th champion that we owned and/or bred. I also handled some other breeds including Afghan, Dachshund, Dobe, Schipperke and German Shepherd.

I'm now active with my Springers in AKC Hunting Tests and Field Trials, and still do some obedience. However as much as I enjoy training and competing with my dogs, most of the time they are simply my companions. At home they're all housedogs and couch potatoes. Please see more pictures of them in the Photo Album. My goal as a breeder is old-fashioned English Springer Spaniels with all-around soundness: field ability, form that follows function, good health and temperament.

Thank you for visiting.

At The Rainbow Bridge . . .

Wizard . . . Ch. Regency's Spellbinder, CD
(Jan. 1983 - Nov. 1996)
(by Ch. Whitestar's Magic Moment ex. Ch. Regency's Renaissance, CD)
A kind and gentle dog, Wizard was ever tolerant of the puppies that came along in his nearly 14 years. Remember to spend special time with your own grey-muzzled veteran if you have one.

Drum . . . Calvdale Jest-A-While At Carskip
(Dec. 1986 - Feb. 1999)
(by Swed. Ch. Calvdale Beau Jeste ex. Cleavehill Curtain Call)
Drum was an English import from Calvdale ESS. Though he's gone I'll continue to watch with pride the versatile accomplishments of his progeny into the future.

Bailey . . . Regen Cee Cailin Ro Breagh, JH WD CGC
(Feb. 1991 - Feb. 2000)
(by Quail Lane's Black Watch ex. Regency's Tout De Suite)
Though other dogs will come after her, my 'Bailey Bagel' will always be the first of my dogs that I achieved WD and JH titles with after getting involved in field activities.

Sweet Tart . . . Ch. Quail Lane Regency Rune, CD CGC
(Sept. 1986 - July 2002)
(by Ch. Ramblewood Rhinstone Cowboy ex. Regency's Bewitched, WD)
When I saw her litter at at a few weeks old one special girl caught my eye. When I saw her at 8 weeks Sweet Tart became mine and the 'Queen Bee' at Halwendan for almost 16 years.
