The classroom consists of 4 computers which have various educational software installed as well as word processing, image editing and internet design software. Click here for more information on the Educational software we have been using. The general lesson plan is used when we are providing continuous education to children. If a child just 'pops in' every now and again we have a number of structured projects which are designed to give a basic introduction to word processing and image editing, we also have a a couple of exercises that test a childs abilities. One for assessing their spelling and reading and the other for assessing their environmental awareness.
Another project we are working on is 'Bellas page' the pages linked to 'Bellas page' are the kids pages based around their pets or other animals they know. Creating the pages involves the kids taking photos with a digital camera and depending on their ability doing the process all the way through to publishing it on the web. This introduces them to 'web' design and how it all works
Update pages have been created in-order to keep people up to date with the progress of the project. For progress reports past and present click on the area on the map or on the dates and places links below. If you have any comments, suggestions, ideas, funding..... please click here and email us.
