In a
historic joint reading, writers from the Paj Ntaub Voice Hmong Literary
Journal and the SatJaDham Lao Literary Project will be offering Minnesota
audiences a rare opportunity to hear the emerging modern poetry and
writing from the Hmong and Lao community.
Their work touches on their past, the present, the future and their dreams. Most of the works presented will be in English, and offers an exciting, educational and entertaining glimpse of the world as seen through a Hmong and Lao perspective. This evening marks the very first time that Paj Ntaub Voice and SatJaDham have ever worked together to present the work of their fellow Hmong and Lao to the community. Proceeds from this evening will go to help support the growth of Hmong and Lao literary efforts. The audience will have the opportunity to talk with many of the writers after the reading. |
|
Copies of Paj Ntaub Voice, SatJaDham
anthologies and other publications will be available at the reading. |
