Tom Clancy started out as an insurance broker in Maryland. He had a strong interest in writing a suspense novel. He does extensive research for each of his novels. Clancy has written ten novels. In addition, he has partnered with Steve Pieczenik to write four Op-Center books. My favorite book is "Without Remorse".
