Women's Ice Hockey Team

The Westchester Wildcats Women's Ice Hockey Team is a recreational hockey team based in Westchester County, NY with home ice at the Westchester Skating Academy in Elmsford, NY. The players range in age from eighteen to over fifty, with experience ranging from near-beginner to college level. The Wildcats play other women's and girls ice hockey teams in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area and travel to tournaments from Washington, D.C. to Montreal, Canada.

The Wildcats' season typically opens with a September clinic and games scheduled from October through March. Tournaments often extend the season into through the summer. New members and new opponents are always welcome!

The Westchester Wildcats team has played under the direction of the Westchester Skating Academy since the 1997-98 season. Previously, the group played there as an independent team. The team was founded in the mid-1980's as an off-shoot of a group of moms from the Hickory Hill Youth Hockey program based in Katonah, NY and used the Harvey School as home ice for many years.

The Wildcats roster two teams each year - Wildcats B is a USA Hockey B level team and Wildcats C is a USA Hockey C level team; neither team is National tournament-bound.
