The top speed is 37mph and fuel use is 2 gallons per hour. This sev can haul over 700lb payloads over big and small waters and has exceptional athletic abilities over rough terrain. The two engine version is much faster, over 50mph, as all 45hp goes to thrust, and the 18hp lift is sufficient for reasonable terrain.
A 18 foot long hulled version may be built for such uses as search and rescue, hunting, birding, or ice fishing where added payload is needed. Payloads can be up to 800lb for over water use, over 950lb for ice use.
Deck structure is foam fiberglass, as is the hull structure, and it is quite reasonable to put a glass windshield and overhead on a craft of this power.
Plans and instruction manual are available for $49US, including first class postage, US, Can. Mex. (Foreign, add $3.) CriticalParts for Geoduck such as propellers, fans, skirt material, drive hardware and foam for the composite hull construction are available from Sevtec.
Total cost of construction, including engine and critical parts kits for Geoduck is $3400 to $4800, and some 140 to 450 man hours.
