SYNOPSIS of
Harry's Son: England's American
Heir
Back in the late 1520s,
King Henry VIII of England was in the throes of
his 'Great Matter' - that of divorcing his first wife Katherine of Aragon
so that he could marry the woman who set his passions aflame, Anne
Boleyn.
His passion for Anne was so intense that the French ambassador wrote to the
King of France in 1528,
"that only God could cure him."
Four hundred seventy years later, an American
journeys to London and presents himself,
without fanfare, to the editorial staff of The Times.
He announces to his astonished audience that he is the descendant
of the illegitimate son produced by that famous union,
eleven generations removed,
and has come to claim the crown as the surviving twentieth century male Tudor.
Thus begins an incredible modern-day saga
in which Will Hall
turns the Commonwealth upside down as he takes on the Royal Family and
the British establishment in his quest for the throne of Britain.
Will, a down-to-earth American, is not motivated by pomp, glamour, status,
or wealth.
Armed with knowledge of leading-edge genetics methodologies
and driven by an innate mandate for monarchical reformation,
he returns to Britain at great personal risk to attempt to restore a
monarchy
that serves the common man, much to the consternation and displeasure
of the Queen and others allied with her.
His battle-for-the-crown endeavors are
significantly complicated, however,
when he loses his heart to a beautiful English woman - a commoner.
Can he win her love...and the throne...while keeping his true identity from
her?
