First of all, I can report that God is moving mightily among us. It is sometimes easy for us to over look His working because we look at our current situation rather than seeing what God is doing to people around us.

This past week we have had three families come to radical terms with God. They have returned to Him from serious wondering in sin. They were all in the morning service.

One family was broken becasue of alcohol. They met God in the crisis that was destroying their family. They prayed for repentance and God forgave them. They are starting on the road to redemption. Satan has his most powerful artillery on this road.

The wife of this union is the daughter of a Saint of God who was a member of our church before dying three years ago. Before she died she told me she wanted all 13 of her children to meet her in Heaven. Would I help her? Her prayers went up to God for many years on behalf of her children. All except one have gone far from God. Last Tuesday evening this daughter came to the parsonage for prayer to be saved.

Even though she has died God is honoring her prayers. He is a wonderful God!

Another family, a widow and her chldren, testified that God had spared them from slipping into the awful dredges of sin that had gripped them and almost destroyed their family.

Another had turned on God after He had healed their family. They ignored Him after He worked His miracle. Now, in the depths of their self made ruin they have come back to Him. It took the murder of a close friend. But God used that tragedy to wake them up.

Still another family came face to face with their lost condition through the same murder. Their union had been made while far from God. God shook them into conviction and they saw their errant ways as God sees them. They are at the beginning of the journey of salvation but they are in our care as God brings them home.

All this on one Sunday morning tucked in a little church on a street two blocks long but where God is welcome and comes often.

Our church is full of stories like these. They don't make the society pages but in Heaven's annals they take front page.

I also report God's moving in the maturity of our people. I am amazed that God has chosen me to pastor a group of people who are so hungry for God.

This day started with the time change. I thought everyone would be rested and at church. Guess what. They may be rested but they weren't all at church. Were you one of the rested? Were you one of the "at church"?
