Possessions, Material Wealth, Fulfillment.
To the Northern Europeans, this rune meant
cattle. Cattle were the measure of man's worth.
Along with Othel, Fehu is a Rune of material gain.
Upright: Usually indicates prosperity coming to
you in some form.
This is a rune of fulfillment-something which you
have been striving toward will finally be within
your grasp. If rune is upright it suggest that you
have what it takes to win.

Beorc, aka Berkano, Berkana
|
|
Growth, birth, family, and true home.
This is the Rune for birth and of family. It usually
indicates an event which brings joy to the family, such
as birth or a wedding. This rune is always indicative of
a tangible result and is very helpful rune whenever a
new project is being comtemplasted. It suggests any
chemes in the works should be implemented right way.

Strength, good health, male energy
This rune represents the wild ox. The wild bison
symbolized strength and virility to the northern
Tribes. Hence Uruz is considered to be a
powerful indicator of good health and strong
natural powers of resistance. Whenever this rune
arises where health is an issue, it in indicates a
speedy recovery from illness. This rune
sometimes indicates the male in any relationship
and signifies strong emotions.

Gateway, run of good, or bad luck.
This rune had many association of protection and
with luck especially if it is with Eihwaz or Eolh.
This may show a stroke on unexpected good luck,
usually from an unexpected source. I can appear
in the runecast to indicate that the run of good
luck you have been experiencing is about to come
to an end.

Signals, advice, acquired wisdom, exams.
The meaning of this rune is mouth, and usually
indicates the spoken word, taking of advice, or
the acquisition of wisdom. It can also indicate an
exam, written or oral. Upright, It indicates the
ability to sail through whatever arises with ease.
It denotes a need for careful thought, often
coupled with advice of another.

Journey, Travel, and Soul Path.
The Nordic peoples identified this rune with the
wagon, it is a prime indicator of travel or
movement. This is the symbol of travel, usually
for pleasure. It will often show a safe or pleasant
journey, usually without mishaps. Sometimes this
journey can be a journey of the soul. If this
meaning applies to you, now is teh time to make
that journey within. If you are already foolowing
your soul's path, keep on it.

Opening, fire energy, creativity, Power
Kenaz symbolizes the element, friendly, warm,
controlled flame of the torch or the hearth fire. It is
a significator of vigorous good health and strong
powers of recuperation. In a runecast, it is often
places to indicate the importance of a good
positive attitude. This is the most helpful rune that
can arise when you are experiencing problems of
any sort. It is a protective sign, showing an
upcoming respite from worries and a time when
trials will be few.

Partnership, timely gifts, emotions
The meaning of Gifu is gift, This is the first rune
we have encountered so far that has no reversed
position. It almost always acts in a positive
fashion. This usually indicates a partnership so
some sort, either in business or in love.

Joy, happines, successs, joy in work
When this is upright it will always reprsent joy and
happiness coming into your life. It is an excellent
omen in a runecast.

|
Disruption, forces out of your control
Hagall means hail. This rune represents all forces
outside your control. This disruption may be
either good or bad, but due to the fact that the
forces bearing upon your life at this time are
mostly impersonal ones, it usually take on a
negative tone. Often Hagall will turn up when you
are thinking of taking a risk of some sort. In this
case surrounding runes will indicate whether or
not this risk will pay off.

Constraint, patience, timely action
One of the three great runes of delay, the counsel
of Nied is omen of patience. You may find
yourself with delays, constraints, ill health or
oppression, but this rune indicates these may
work out in their own good time, and no amount
of haste or worry on your part will cause them to
work out any faster.

Standstill,cessation of activity, pause
Isa signifies a cessation of activities-a freeze.
All plans should be put on hold for the moment
to be resumed at a better time.

harvest, reaping results for your efforts, justice
The meaning of this rune is harvest, and a
reaping of rewards for efforts expended. Because
the harvest can only come after an expenditure
of energy and care, Jera implies that events must
come to fruit in their own good time.

This rune symbolizes Yew. This rune has powerful
associations with protection. Eihwaz indicate you
have set your sights on a reasonable target and
are well able to achieve your goals. No matter how
bad things may seem if Eihwaz is sitting in a
prominent place in your runecast, it indicates that
things will turn around for the better.

Initiation, occult abilities, hidden secrets
In a runecast this usually is an indication that
something that has remained hidden is about to come
to light. However, this rune can also refer to the
disclosure of a secret. This is also a rune of unexpected
gains and surprises and often shows an unearned gain
of money.

Protection, New beneficial influences, friendship
This could mean new career opportunity or course of
study. This will also often show a new relationship with
someone who is outgoing, generous and fund to be
around. Eolh is a very strong protective rune, and it's
appearance usually indicates that you will be protected
from any misfortune for the period of time covered by
the reading.

Victory, Wholeness, Great Power
This is a rune of victory. It's appearance in the
runecast virtually assure success. It is a rune of great
power, and much power will available to you at this
time to effect changes in your life.

Warrior, success in competition, motivation
This represents success in any competition. This is
also a rune of extreme motivation, showing a strength
of will and a singleness of mind that can enable you to
overcome all odds.

|
Movement, Physical shifts, new homes
It's main significance is change, but a change for the
better and usually an anticipated one.
|
|
The self, interdependence with humankind
Mannaz is the rune of humankind. It is a rune of
interdependence, and you can expect to receive some
sort of aid or cooperations regarding the problem at
hand. This aid could come in the form of good advice.
|
|
Flow, intuitive knowledge, female energy
Lagaz is a rune of intuitive knowledge and
indicates you should follow your intuitions closely
in the matter in question.
|
|
Ing is almost always a positive rune, and only in
the most negative of runecasts does it even
suggest failure. It indicates that the force is
available to you at this time to complete any
projects, and it shows a successful conclusion to
the problem at hand. This can also indicate a mind
free from anxiety.
|
|
Breakthrough, increase and growth
This runes has no negative aspects, Even in a
negative reading it shows that you have the inner
strength to turn you situation around if only you will
utilize it. The growth symbolized by this rune is slow
but steady, rather than overnight success.
|
|
Separation of spirit, materialistic ideals
Othel is a rune of possessions and usually
represents the things that money can buys, usually
it will be money in the form of inheritances, trusts, or
pension funds.
|
|
Sense of Divine
The blank rune, is a totally modern addition to the
Futhark system, although the concept is
represents was certainly well known to the rune-
using people. It takes its name from Norse Wyrd
(pronounced weird), the collective term for the
three Norse sisters know as the Norns.
Individually know as Urdhr, Verthandi, and Dkuld-
past, present, and future. They represented all
knowledge and were special patrons of the art of
divination.
This is a rune of total trust and should be taken as
exciting evidence of you most immediate contact
with you own true destiny. Wyrd is the cosmic
power of fate.

interpreting the
meanings until you get
more familiar with
