Mattel has produced a special edition Custom VW Bug (5,000 run) for the Hot Wheels® Newsletter. The Bug is white with purple spray mask and has Real Rider® Goodyear tires with chrome hubs. Both car and blister pack features the Hot Wheels® Newsletter logo!

Number 2 and 3 in the series produced by Mattel exclusively for the Hot Wheels® Newsletter! The Custom Barris Merc celebrated our 16 years of publication. The Merc is the popular Collectible line casting first seen in the Barris Set in 1998 and comes packaged with an acrylic display in a custom Hot Wheels® Collectibles box. Limited Edition of 5,000! The Newsletter Passion® is yellow with a black hood and roof, a black, red and yellow flame tampo and chrome-hubbed Real Rider® tires with white sidewalls. Packaged on a special art blister card. Both car and package feature the Hot Wheels® Newsletter logo. Limited to 8,000 pieces, it is the reverse color variation of the 15^th Convention dinner car.
