Post 1288 will provide a
number of banners to Bolingbrook families (one per family) with
activity duty family members (within our resource capability). Email
the Post or
call the Commander, Elden Laffoon @ (783) 2669 with your name,
address, phone number, name of active duty person, relationship of
the service member to you and the member's rank and branch of service
(Army, Navy, USMC, USAF, Reserve, National Guard). We will supply
them when our order comes in.

Support Network
The American Legion has
reinstituted the Family Support Network to provide assistance to
families of activity duty military, National Guard or Reserve Units
called to active duty. Families can call for assistance to help them
get through the separation with its many problems. During Desert
Storm, the Legion provide over $500,000 in emergency financial
assistance and responded to over 43,000 requests for assistance. If
you need help, we are here to serve. Call 1-800-504-4098 to contact
our national hotline. They will provide your contact information to
the local post in your area, which will contact you to arrange for assistance.
