In 1829 , Samuel and Sarah along with two small children, went to Indiana in a covered wagon. They first lived at Crawfordsville, then moved to to Wasbush, and later moved Washington Co. In 1831, Samuel served as Capt. of the 9th Reg. Ind. Militia. NOTE: This was a time when Samuel's brother-in-law, Abraham Stover, husband of Army rader, was very active in the Militia in Washington Co. Also another sister Anne Rader, wife of George Stove, reared her family near Crawfordsville, Indiana. Samuel's body is interred in Rader cem.
