QMB Places 4th at NYSFBC Championship


Syracuse, NY - The Quaker Marching band finished its 2002 marching season on a great note by finishing 4th competing in the national class at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse. The band had a score of 96.82, which is the highest score the band ever received at an NYSFBC competition. See the NYSFBC 2002 Championship Results page for the full list of scores.

General Info


The 2002 Quaker Marching Band is in its 16th year in the New York State Field Band Conference. The "QMB" is the 1993 Class A Champion, the 1997 Class AAA Champion, the 2000 and 2001 Large School Division 2 Champion. This year's band numbers 130 and now is competing in the National Class. The Quaker Marching Band will present a show about "Flight" thi year. The show opens with Jack Stamp's "Cloudsplitter Fanfare", followed by the beautiful "Where Never Lark Or Eagle Flew", by James Curnow, and finishes with "to Tame The Perilous Skies", by David Holsinger.
