"Floating Power"

Replacement Mounts

These photos show the prototype of the original style replacement mount. These mounts will be available after reliability testing is completed, hopefully by late October or early November. Cost is currently estimated at under $100.

The mount is constructed of new steel brackets with an integral polyurethane insulator of approximately 80 durometer on the Shore "A" scale. The production tooling will more accurately reflect the profile of the original rubber, but the parts will not have Chrysler part numbers or the "Floating Power" lettering. Original style mount shields should be available before the end of the year.

The prototype lower bracket was constructed of material approximately 1/16" thicker than that found on the original mounts. Material of the appropriate thickness could be special ordered should the extra thickness prove objectionable, although this will increase the cost incrementally.
