Thanks for looking me up on your Internet travels!
Many people who start a business want to make a living from something
that they love to do and are very good at doing. But promotion
is not everyone's strong point! A person can be the best producer of a product or
a service, but if people don't know about their business, there's
going to be limited growth to the enterprise. Without effective promotion,
many of the potential customers they could have served will have supported
another business just because they weren't aware of them when making their
decision to buy.
My business specializes in promoting microenterprise. Any business with 5 or less
FTE employees is known as a microbusiness, whether the business is run from
home or an office/storefront. It is very important for business owners at
this level to be selective about their marketing to get the
"biggest bang for their buck," as the saying goes. I strive to provide
cost-effective promotion in our Twin Ports marketplace, as well as
internationally. In addition to my
classes, the
services listed on my card include:
- marketing microbusinesses on the Web--this is essential--not a
luxury--and can be done affordably. If you don't have a computer or online
service, your website will direct the viewer to contact you by phone and/or
fax. Take a look at
Alotti Biscotti for an example
of a site that serves retail sales and wholesale accounts. Traffic to your
website is increased by putting the Internet address of the site on your
product labels, advertising copy, letterhead and business cards. A site I
designed for High Gear, Inc in
St. Louis, Missouri is an example of a site that has stimulated interest and
sales in 80% of the USA and 19 countries worldwide.
- promoting American products in Japan--especially for unique products. There
is an information packet currently in development which will guide you
in this process.
- coordinating entrepreneur trade shows, open houses, and receptions.
These activities along with periodic mailings maintain customer relationships.
Using my bulk mail permit reduces your mailing costs. Email
Georgeanne
from the Window Shop Interiors to find out how their recent reception has
stimulated activity from previous customers, introduced newcomers to their
shop, and has developed relationships with related businesses using this
cross-promotion strategy.
Microbusiness owners put their heart and soul into their work knowing their
good name is attached to the results. I enjoy working with
them because I feel the same way about my business.
In addition, I am a member two business associations: the
Entrepreneurs' Connection which is a
monthly discussion group for microbusiness operators and the
Duluth Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association.
If you would like to learn more about these stimulating
educational and networking opportunities, I welcome your call or
email.
Sincerely,
Karen Trela
