| "However, you have to be very careful
in coordinating the placement of the windows and the room's geometry
to keep from having acoustical problems in the monitoring environment," says
designer Russ Berger. Russ and his expertly qualified staff accomplished
this task quite nicely, which makes the whole facility work quite well
acoustically.
In order to maintain appropriate sound isolation between the different spaces, Russ Berger Design Group directed the builder to create each of the spaces in the facility as a "room within a room." The interior walls are isolated from the exterior building shell and support their own ceiling maintaining sound isolation through modifications in the building's structural slab, preventing vibrations from being transferred between rooms via a common foundation. The heating and air conditioning systems generate no noise when operating and do not transfer the performance program to adjoining rooms via the ductwork.
To remain very affordable and yet professional, InSight Sound insisted on a modular, flexible approach to equipment and does not compete in the public-for-hire business."We keep rates down and give the clients time to relax, experiment and achieve great performances. I suppose this is more of a private enclave or a boutique," describes Dan. "We cater to new artists and songwriters with a limited budget. We keep things simple, fast, clean, flexible, well-maintained, and selective in our equipment, about anything imaginable can be rented or leased." Most important, "we were blessed with some extraordinary people around us," continues Dan. A complete list of equipment is available, just call (970) 663-1650. |
